Movies that made me who I am.

It has been awhile since I updated this.

I could go on about my family and my kids and so on, but I'm not. I know it bores people so I've decided to make a list, perhaps you can relate or have a flashback to your past. Whatever the case here are 15 movies that have taught me something, or gave me some insight to life in general, or affect me in such a way that I do what I do because of it:

1. For the Love of Benji (1977)
2. Grease (1978)
3. Titanic (1997)
4. Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977)
5. Jaw's (1975)
6. The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1939) ( (B&W)
7. Wings Over the World (1979) (Paul McCartney concert movie)
8. Nosferatu (1922) (B&W silent)
9. JFK (1991)
10. Psycho (1960)
11. It's Alive (1974)
12. The Island of Dr. Moreau (1977)
13. Yellow Submarine (1968)
14. Galaxy Quest (1999)
15. The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938)

**Honourable mention: Frankenstein (1931)**

Enjoy!

Right then, I'm a teacher and I have small children, I can definitely relate to this:

A teacher was doing a study testing the senses. Today it was 'taste'.
The children began to identify the flavors by their color:

Red.......................Cherry
Yellow.................Lemon
Green...................Lime
Orange .................Orange

Finally the teacher gave them all HONEY lifesavers. None
of the children could identify the taste.

The teacher said, 'I will give you all a clue. It's what your
Mother may sometimes call your father.'

One little girl looked up in horror, spit her lifesaver out and
yelled, 'Oh my God! They're ass-holes!'

The teacher had to leave the room!

The Heatwave continues...

Today was my first day back from vacation, and even though I have been alternating one week off and one week on, this is the official start of 'my' school year. The students don't start until the 6th of September so I will enjoy the peace and quiet while I can. Tomorrow I have my 'photo shoot' and Wednesday we are filming for the promotional video and the website. I'm not looking forward to either, as I still haven't come to terms with my horrific coiffure. I also don't fancy walking around with heavy make-up and a suit in this heat either. (I will look a lot worse then the picture below, I'm sure!)

Oh yes, I was speaking to a friend today and he brought back some great memories. I planned on sharing them here, however I can't find the picture to go with it so for now it will have to wait.

Ad occursum futurum!

A day unlike any other

Now that I have your attention, I have to confess my day wasn't as intriguing as the title may suggest. I had planned a day on the computer in my office (the basement actually) but I ended up out with my best friend (If adults have best friends that is) and going to the movies. Just the two of us, no kids not men just us.

Something is to be said when your able to complete a sentence without a "Mommy, mommy Look what I did!" or a "Mommy, Alex is bugging me" or even a "Honey where is my cap, have you seen my new ball cap?"

It's not like we did anything exciting; shopping for some back to school items for the triplets, (actually it will be their first year) and then we went to the movies (Up). I saw the movie before but with kids your more out of the theatre than in it, so it was nice to see the movie in its entirety.

Well that was it, that was my day...oh! My friend's boss ignored her resignation and she still has a job. :-)

temp today was 45C or 117F

First entry

I have no time to be doing this, so I will add to it later on tonight.
